All I need

It took some time and a minuscule wisdom to sink in

that I don’t have to be picture-perfect and thin

To be loved to distraction and love endlessly in return

All I need is a heart brimming adoration and concern

A mind with its windows open to every possibility

A remarkable sensitivity and artistic sensibility

A pair of eyes to discern and know

What needs to be nipped and what should grow

A pair of hands to be held and hold

A confidante whom you trust enough to grow old

The road to happiness

I have conquered the desolation, the dreary darkness

Cause I want to be on the road to eternal happiness

I have embraced the path of change and progress

I have let go of all grudges and learnt forgiveness

I have opened the corners of my heart to indulge in random kindness

I’ve learnt to let go of the past and no longer carry baggage excess

Swimming against high tide

Its never an easy ride

But what keeps you afloat

Is that you picked your own boat

Walking on rocky terrain

Despite the darkest storm and torrential rain

What keeps you striding on this bumpy boulevard

Is the fact you picked your own tarot card

Between choice and chance

It’s a tightrope tango dance

When you possess courage of  your convictions in abundance

Life is such a maze

Springing surprises, it leaves you in a daze

What you wish for and plan

Changes in a short span

What you seldom expect foresee

Is just around the corner to greet thee

Stagnancy, complacency is a sign of death

Evolution infuses an elixir of fresh breath

In each challenge there’s a hidden possibility

Even in jeopardy one can tap one’s inner proclivity

Love in the times of Facebook

Love in the times of twitter and Facebook

Isn’t about pining,sighing and waiting for that one look

It is instant , like our gizmos and fast  food

Here relationships are changed like clothes depending on your  mood

Love isn’t about till death do us part

It is about tweeting about a broken heart

untill you find someone to mend it !!

Love is now about wry humour and quick wit

It is  about posting a sugary wall post or the quick text

Love is living it up virtually till you find the next

Romance as we knew it is long gone and dead

It isn’t about patience,longing or roses red

Love isn’t about meaning or finding a soulmate who completes every sentence

It is as fragmented, lopsided and virtual as is modern existence

Yes this is love and life in the times of  twitter
