Fatigued forlorn
She kept walking alone
Trying to build a fence
Around her heart
Struggling to walk
A thin line
And play a part
But masks and veneers
Are but so ephemeral
They do reveal
The fancies and fears
You struggle to conceal
So the dam broke
In a twirling motion
She felt her throat choke
With an unknown emotion
A first on this solitary voyage
She did let the water
Pass under the broken bridge
