Nurturing A Dream

Don’t clip their wings

Just teach them to fly

Don’t tread on their dreams

Inspire them to touch the sky

Don’t cage their desires

Spur them on to vie

Don’t curb their ingenuousness

Stand by them when they try

Don’t impose on them your judgment and opinions

Encourage them to grasp ways of the world with an imaginative eye

  1. I agree with Jingle here.

    It hits all.

Very well written and I, personally, took this poem as a critique of the constrained education system. Don’t know what exactly you had in mind while writing it. Do share.
