Perils Of Urban Life

Living life in an urban jungle

whizzing past while making sense of the bungle

Staying amongst mortar and stone

In this mind boggling sojourn we shed every kind bone

The mind lives in perpetual fear and anxiety

Of being outdone by someone smarter and mighty

We forget all spontaneity and verve

Forever on the edge we step on each other’s nerve

Someday I fear we’ll lose the ability to feel in extremity

And become yet another glossy yet hollow concrete monstrosity

  1. How true…
That’s why we have vacations! 😉
We leave behind the concrete jungle to make sure our spontaneity and verve aren’t lost completely!!

Well written as usual LOI! 🙂
