the first drop of rain

Parched thirsty bits of terrain

yearn, crave for the first drop of rain

when the clouds part

open up their heart

to soothe the seething earth

the entire terrain gets a new birth..

At the touch of rain

Nature appears like a bride’s adorned mane

lush green verdant foliage

celebrate this union with a barrage
